Visited the boy's friend at a community hospital on National Day. To cut the long story short, her brain decided to stop functioning properly one fine day and went into deep sleep for weeks. She's now on her road to recovery though.

Sometimes I just couldn't help but salute at what our brain can do to us.

It is capable of doing things we never thought could have happened to us. The brain is like a central processing unit of a machine, coupled with the power from our heartbeat. When any of those fail, the machine falls sick.

With partial damage of the left brain, that friend is now living in her own world of discovery. As family and friends, we could only try to adapt to a new set of behavioral patterns as she is unable to express herself properly.

Nevertheless, I hope her a speedy recovery and for her mum to stay stronger by each day.

At the very least, I can see that the incident has made her appreciate her mum even more together. The obstacle did draw their relationship to a much closer level.

Kinship - the love that will never abandon you.
