Reached Singapore last Thursday. Nothing that great has happened since end. Spent the weekend at BBDC doing my vocational lessons. Had the test today which I didn't really study for, except to read through the book 2 times. We were told that it's chicken feet anyway. Bro says don't waste time. And so I didn't. hahahaha :p
Received my final result today. ALL of us did well. So did I! Had a huge jump in CAP. And a great semester in celebration of As and Bs. Now, I'm officially a graduate! :) Went high tea with my two closest university girl friends and did windows shopping.
Graduation trip had been great despite the hiccups along the trip because of differences in opinions (it always happens). We survived stronger nevertheless. Caught a cold on the last second day of my trip, ending with a fever on the flight from L.A. to Narita. It was an experience. A terrible one. :p
On a side note, I'm just thinking. How does one define 'poor'? Does it mean to be temporarily financially handicapped to satisfy own's wants? Or does it mean to be unable to meet the needs, or even reach some of the so called 'basic' wants of the rest? As I travel in the States, I wish so much for my siblings (and family) to join me there. But I know it's impossible. At least at this point in time. My parents would never even be able to afford a tour package for family of six to Asia, don't even talk about America. My siblings, while they are still studying, has their only chance to fly only during school trips. In my 22 years of life, the only time that my parents can plan a family trip is to Genting. This June, we will be going for Cruise too. Thanks to the Genting points my parents had accumulated, the 6 of us are going FOC except to pay for taxes. Cheap Skate u say? Well, we just grow up differently. Being not well to do is equivalent to not to be able to have the purchasing power. And so, we work hard to earn our dreams.
For I dream of the day when I have enough to bring the entire family to a place call United States of America. I know and HAVE to work hard.
Am going to fly KR tomorrow. Seriously, I don't have a good feeling. 95% of me understands that I will not enjoy much because of many unstated reasons. Burdens or so I call it. And I don't like it. I didn't agree to have them up my shoulders.
Up till this moment, I have yet to pack my luggage. I'm just not so much into it. I'm getting sick of all these 'drama'. Wish people could be more true to each other.

I want to blog this one. Today 7 July 2011, a new chapter will be started in Singapore's history. It's our polling day. Ever since the political rallies begin, I hear flaming every other day, with candidates attacking each other verbally. Their supporters too, join in to make some very nasty comments. Be it the ruling or opposition party, their actions do not quite match that of a civilized country (that Singapore is supposed to be built as). In this election, I have heard people. The anger towards what the ruling party failed to provide for us, and the frustrations towards what the opposition cannot do (for there is no 'track record') made matter worst. I find it a war zone with two extreme views floating around the internet. Tears and apologies all overused this time. With the addition of the cooling period, it makes the polling result today even more unpredictable in the heated up constituencies. People have heard enough of the elections, viewpoints, many hits and misses. I need not say more. There certainly are disappointments here and there.
On a side note, my last university paper (hopefully), has concluded yesterday. It's a feeling so great. All of a sudden, my time seems to have slowed down. I'm still trying to get used to it. hahaha! I can already foresee that I will have the tears of joy on the day of graduation. This 4 years don't come easy. With the many ups and downs, I fell and picked up from wherever I used to be. Nevertheless, certain things will continue to remain as great memories at the back of my head.
