Mum says it states "In case of emergency, tear open". But anyway, I tore it to take a peek. HAHAHAHA.
First view.. Mum thought it's a mini First Aid kit or something. I told her my suspicion otherwise. :p
Nah! It's just a book to educate the public so as not to abuse the emergency system. They gave us a magnet though. To the fridge! ;)
Yes! The A&E for serious conditions only!
We called the non-emergency ambulance because of my grandma 8 years back. It's basically the same actually. Just that the ambulance looks different. Anyway, you need to pay for ambulance trips, FYI. :p BUT then again, it's cheaper to call for the non-emergency ones at 1777 instead if you are in doubt. Any non-emergency cases will cost more on 995 activation. That is intended to curb abuse.
Misconceptions on the Use of Emergency Ambulance Service
t
995 is a free ambulance service?
Yes, the service is free only if it is a true emergency. However, if a case attended to by the SCDF is deemed to be anon-emergency by its paramedics, the patient will have to pay an ambulance fee of $165.
You can direct the ambulance to the hospital of your choice?
No, the SCDF emergency ambulances will only convey patients to the nearest designated restructured hospitals so that the patients can receive immediate medical attention. This will also enable the ambulance to be available earlier for the next emergency call.
Patient arrived by SCDF ambulance will be given priority in treatment at the A & E Department?
No, ALL patients arriving at A & E Department will be assessed by the medical staff at the hospital. Those assessed as critical will be attended to first, followed by non-emergency cases.

Based on personal experience, that wait may be up to 4-5hrs! Isn't time more expensive than money? Weigh your options and consider alternatives if possible! ;)
Nope, my exam has yet to end. Even then, this is the first Semester that I feel so good after every paper. It came v late eh. Better than not feeling like that at all. Got to admit that working part time did give me a little more determination to do well for studies. Quoted from my FYP supervisor "University education is about time management". Working made me manage my time better. :) And seriously, it's not exactly about how much time you spent in the whole semester. For many, it's how much time they have spent during the reading week for revision. Oh well ~ Just one more to go. At the same time, to start working on my FYP again!
Just some random note. My reflection dedicated to my grandma when she passed away was actually selected for National level Chinese Essay publication 《好作文》 第十九集 when I was in secondary school. It has been a while now. I still love the language. But I am no longer near that standard I have at then, for I haven't been using it to write that often anymore. *regrets*
Came across this song while listening to that posted on Suelynn's blog. It's true to some extent. As I grow up, I have stopped sharing my inner thoughts and feelings, especially the upsets. I know nobody else can resolve these upsets except myself. I know even if I share, their way of resolving it might not be what I would like to happen. For all that I know, friends, as close as we are, they are not me. Whenever my friends, guys or girls, complain about their lives and relationship, I wouldn't tell them what to do, but let them consider things. Issues best for them and make decisions solely by themselves. I look for the same treatment too.
When I am upset, I don't need others to probe. I just want someone to be there. Just by keeping quiet, spend some time stoning with me, I would have appreciated it. Given our ever so busy lives, such became a prized gift that don't happen often. Instead, my friends text me in between revisions, encouraging me. This one other close friend, calls me almost every single day, telling me about her life at work. With all of those, I'm contented. :)

Attended a talk by Fredrik Härén some weeks ago in fulfillment for one of my module. That was what he tried to convey during the talk. Being in a developed state of mind made mindsets and ideas stagnant, whereas in a developing state of mind, we continuously explore to satisfy the greater curiosity from within. Through exploration, it brings ideas. New ideas picked up from all over the world. That's the utmost reason to why I travel, despite the tight budget constraints. I don't want to miss out all that is already happening in the world. While yet another semester is coming to an end, I managed to keep some time to edit the videos from the last China trip. World Expo has indeed opened up my eyes to the different cultures, technology and art from various parts of the world. I appreciate my dad's curiosity to see what I see (he made me bring the video camera along to film), for I have a full set of memories from still to live images.
My pace of life had been pretty fast this semester. With less and uncomfortable sleep. Glad that I'm finally able to get a short break before examinations start. Had a wonderful rest sleeping, editing videos and updating my blog layout (webhost accidentally deleted all my files)! Such a luxury. :p After this, it's back to revision. Good thing that I have cleared all my lab reports which were to due next week. Life had never been this great!
All the best to everyone who is having their examinations soon. Mug hard for now, and play later! 先苦后甜,苦尽甘来 (:
