Hidden in a corner of the famous Clementi Food Centre, there's a stall selling Claypot Sesame Chicken that is worth try. The smell coming out of the sesame oil that they used can never be missed. Priced at $3 per claypot, it comes with alot of chicken meat. The fragrant sauce should be eaten with their rice. I can never forget the taste such that we kept going back to visit. =P
Went to the famous Bak Chor Mee at Sim Lim Square Foodcourt that day when we were on our way to Sim Lim Tower to collect our orders of electrical devices.
$4 a bowl of noodles might be a little too expensive. But as compared to the ones that are selling at $3, this $4 noodles comes with a lot of ingredients which can be a plus. The noodles are above average as it comes as chewy, it is however too bland. I regretted not having extra chilli or even pouring more vinegar. The boy says that the soupy one is nice though. So nice that he finishes the whole bowl, including the soup (which is like his first?). I guess it's really that nice.
Asian Kitchen is another place that we frequent for a bowl of Chinese Ramen. It's not exactly that wonderful, but passable given the cost and speed.

The schooling mood is sinking in like only now. Trying to catch up with school work, doing up my chapter summaries, clearing tutorials, meetings after meetings + short of personal time. Busy as it can be, I'm feeling great. At least I have a sense of accomplishment ya? =P Besides, my family has been supportive enough. Mummy will get me food when I am home without a meal at school, my sister will save up some food for me if I called home in the late evening.
Had gone through a bit of struggle due to my very strong character. Am now sourcing for a Buddhism teaching class to soften my character a little. What's my opinion should not be known to others. Everyone is different I guess. I may not like what they are doing, but I have no rights to say that they should not do it.
Because of new year, we have got a couple of visitations. Times are bad this yr, but I visited alot more houses, seeing alot more people. Revenue wasn't that bad. But that's not the point. =P I just did up an updated parternal family tree. Mum counted and there's like 55 members in the house right now. We used to be able to fit in a 40-seater bus (since my parternal families are mostly bus drivers). Today, we need at least 2. The best part is the fact that we as cousins, we know ourselves and our status in the family! Seriously imagine me and my cousin's 21st birthday party with 55 relatives. mMMmmmmmm.... I need a biGgggg space. LOL.
Minus the busy time, I've managed to find time to go for a bit of comfort food. Eating is the best way to destress! But eating good food is even better. Expensive doesn't equate to good food btw. =P
Brought my bro to Men-tei @ Robinson Road that night with the guy for a bowl of Ramen. Hey!! I think it's his first time eating Ramen (his life only revolves around band). All the boys enjoy the good fOod!! CBD area can be very quiet at night. Ramen cost $13nett and it comes with free flow of ice water/green tea.

The Ramen is worth a try. It has got a rich soup base. Noodles are smooth and doesn't feel hard. Quite easy to chew (I don't like Ramen thick on flour). One of the better ones around, it's on par with Tampopo imo. Got to avoid lunch hr if you are going there (CBD area!).
Across the street, Honjin is also having a promotion. Lobster buffet at 1-for-1 priced at $38++ and Yakitori at $58++. ;)
On a side note, I've just patronised the new Jap stall at the Technoedge in school. Just like the style of Megabites, the spaghetti is a little too much on the sweet side that I cannot even taste the sourness of the tomato.
The Don that we've ordered came wet with a very diluted sauce and no eggs or onions (only rice and chicken, exactly like chicken rice). Don't think I will be going back again too soon for a second attempt unless I am that desperate. Even then, I think the Jap stall at Arts wins them hands down. Imo, the jap food is more expensive in at the Engine canteen than the Arts canteen. Anyway, the jap stall isn't as popular as the fishball noodles stall when it first opened.
